My research focus is on possible improvements of the screening tools and strategies to increase performance of cervical screening.

My research includes:

• The risk for cervical precancer and cancer associated with specific human papillomavirus types in atypical glandular cells.
• Quality assurance of laboratory performance and HPV screening methods.
• The risk for cervical precancer and cancer associated with specific types of and amounts of human papillomaviruses.
• Sensitivity for HPV detection in self collected and clinician taken samples
• Using cycle threshold values as a proxy for estimation of virus amounts
