Hanna Bring

I am a resident physician in general practice and a PhD student. I am a member of the HAMPUS research group, which focuses on improving primary care for frail older adults and is led by my principal supervisor, Katharina Schmidt-Mende.

In my doctoral project, I investigate how primary care can contribute to reducing potentially avoidable emergency department visits among frail older adults. Using qualitative methods, we explore both healthcare professionals’ and patients’ perspectives on this clinically relevant problem. In the second part of the project, we plan two epidemiological studies in which we will analyze how primary care preactice organization and quality are associated with emergency department visits among frail older adults.
