XXII Cancer Research KI Retreat
Join us for the XXII Cancer Research KI Retreat on 22-23 September 2025!
On September 22-23, 2025, the XXII Cancer Research KI Retreat brought together cancer researchers and clinicians from Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital at the beautiful Djurönäset Conference Hotel. The retreat proved to be an inspiring forum for scientific exchange, collaboration, and networking, offering participants a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge and share insights in the field of cancer research.
Highlights of the program included keynote lectures by world-renowned experts: Prof. Robert A. Weinberg, Prof. Michelle Monje, and Prof. Hans Clevers, whose presentations sparked engaging discussions and new perspectives.
This year’s retreat reaffirmed the strength of our research community and its commitment to advancing cancer research and care through collaboration and innovation.

Cancellations and name changes
Name changes and cancellations should be made in writing to CRKIretreat2025@akademikonferens.se. Please bear in mind that we have a stricter cancellation policy this year due to the high demand to attend the retreat. Please read the full cancellation policy in your registration confirmation email or below.
Due to the high interest for participation in the CRKI Retreat, a stricter cancellation policy than previously will be in place from 2025.
Cancellations should be made in writing to the conference secretariat at CRKIretreat2025@akademikonferens.se. If an unpaid registration is cancelled, a cancellation fee of SEK 250 will be charged.
- Cancellations made by August 14, 2025: The total amount will be refunded except for the cancellation fee of SEK 250.
- Cancellations made after August 14, 2025: No refunds will be issued.
- Cancellation of separate activities or meals: Not refundable.
- Cancellations made after September 17, 2025: Without prior information, any cancellation by this date or later will be charged SEK 4700 (full cost of participation).
The full charge of SEK 4700 will also apply in the following cases:
- If a requested accommodation is not used, or cancelled, later than September 17.
- Lack of attendance at the Retreat in spite of prior registration (i.e., "no-show").
Change of Name at no extra cost
If you are unable to attend, you may send someone in your place at no extra cost (you are responsible for arranging this with your replacement). Please contact the conference administration office, Academic Conferences, at CRKIretreat2025@akademikonferens.se including:
- Your name
- The name of your replacement
- The person who will be replacing you in CC
- Cancer Research KI email in CC (cancerresearchki@ki.se)
