Career
During his studies at KI, Håkan worked at the National Bacteriological Laboratory, now part of the Public Health Agency of Sweden. After graduation, he developed Sweden's first major laboratory data system at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. He completed a postdoc in neurovirology at MSKCC in New York and later earned an MBA at NYU. He then worked at Merck in the USA in clinical trials, drug development, and marketing. He has also been a business consultant, angel investor, and entrepreneur in life sciences, founding several companies related to computer science education, software, and CPR.
Current role
Håkan is currently a business consultant in life sciences focusing on strategy, financing, and business development. He is also part-time active in academia with an interest in global public health and infectious diseases, and runs his own SaaS startup.
