KI Global Health Nursing
Global health is cross disciplinary and includes both international health related challenges and local health system management, where environmental health is an important aspect. Our research area is the meeting point between global health, caring and healthy sustainable environment. The project group also act as coordinating unit of the Research network about female genital mutilation (former FORTE-supported).
Research profile
The project group KI Global Health Nursing works for appropriate and sustainable improvements in health and healthcare through innovative nursing research. Nurses reach the most vulnerable people and communities. Engaging nurses in design and testing of innovations is critical to implementing effective health promotion interventions. This work is linked to several of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ex. SDD 3 Good health and wellbeing: SDG 5 Gender Equality and SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities. Our focus is on the health of the most vulnerable populations.
