Anna Toropova

I am assistant professor at the Unit for Intervention and
Implementation Research in worker health
I hold a PhD in Education from the University of Gothenburg. My doctoral
thesis entitled "Teachers meeting the challenges of the Swedish school
system. Agents within boundaries" explored the relationship between the
aspects of teacher professional competence and school environment in their
relative contribution to student achievement, bullying perceptions and teacher job satisfaction in Sweden and other
Nordic countries.

I am working on a number of projects, such as 'Exploring mechanisms of change of a multifaceted implementation strategy for promoting mental health of school personnel' and 'Functional and dysfunctional effects of sick-leave among employees with common mental disorders'. I am also affiliated researcher at the Institue for Educational and Special Education,   University of Gothenburg, working on the project 'Mental health, school achievement and Covid-19: long-term consequences and protective factors' led by Prof. Joanna Giota.

I am a course coordinator of 'Introduction to Planning and Program Development' within the Master's Program in Public health sciences
