Research area orthopedics at KI DS

In orthopaedics, we conduct research in a variety of areas: registry-based research, medical image interpretation using artificial intelligence, implant research, and research on the shoulder joint.

Research Area Orthopedics at KI DS

Welcome to orthopedic research at Danderyd Hospital. Here, we conduct clinically grounded and internationally leading research with the goal of improving care for patients with injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

We research new implants and surgical methods in arthroplasty, improved care for trauma patients, new care models for hand and wrist surgery and their climate impact, healthcare injuries, as well as pioneering projects in robot-assisted surgery and artificial intelligence.

By combining patient-centered clinical studies, advanced methodology, and epidemiology, we can quickly translate research into benefits for healthcare. We collaborate both within Sweden and internationally, and we always strive to develop care that is safe, sustainable, and patient-centered.
